Victoria eases border restrictions with Brisbane but says Greater Sydney change still days away

Victoria is winding back its border restrictions on Brisbane.
But any changes to the state’s closure with Greater Sydney are still days away.
Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed that five Local Government Areas – Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Logan, Ipswich and Redlands – were being downgraded from red to orange zones from 6pm Saturday.
It means anyone in those areas, including Victorians who were stuck there when the border closed, are able to apply for a permit.
Provided it’s approved, they can enter but must test for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arrival and isolate until a negative result is returned.
