A Toowoomba activist and the youngest candidate in last year’s state election is being remembered for making the region a fairer and kinder place.

21-year-old Thomas Coyne was killed in a crash at Allora on Sunday night.

“He led the campaign for marriage equality in Toowoomba. He was such a fierce advocate for the issues that he was passionate about and at such a young age, so inspirational… he’s been taken away from us too young.” – Queensland Greens Senator, Larissa Waters.
